A Case of Congenital Patent Urachus

Abstract
|
|
|
Congenital Patent urachus is a rare disease which classified under anomalies of urachus. Due to failure of complete urachal lumen closure, free communication between the bladder and the urachus was remained in the disease.
We experienced a case of congenital patent urachus in a 6-day old male baby, who admitted due to umbilical mass and continuous watery discharge from umbilicus since birth. Patent urachus was confirmed through symptom and fistulogram. Surgical
excision
of urachal remnant was done and symptom was improved.
